We had a great walk around Buttermere, 7.5Km which took an age as I stopped to take photos constantly.

We took it easy on the first day and had a leisurely walk around Tarn Hows before making our way to Hawkshead to visit the Beatrix Potter Gallery.

Not much to say on this other than the Type R is far more practical than I thought. It swallowed all our luggage with ease and even did 38 mpg on the motorway. Although it did drop to 15mpg on the final stretch to the cottage. The cottage was everything we had hoped, it had…
